Summer Term 2012

Please note that during the GCSE exam season, Monday 14 May to Friday 25 May, the school gates will be closed between 12.30 - 1.10pm with NO vehicle access.

Parents, students, staff and our local member for Parliament, Jason McCartney all enjoyed viewing a superb array of GCSE work produced by the Year 11 students of Colne Valley Specialist Arts College during Thursday’s (3 May) public Exhibition and viewing. The work on display was produced by students studying Art, Graphics, Creative Craft, Resistant Materials and Textiles whilst students from Performing Arts provided a musical backdrop to the event.

Well done to so many of our Year 11 students who achieved or exceeded their target grade on April 19th when they received their GCSE Maths result. Year 11 have very little time left now and our focus is to enable them to achieve their best potential.

I would also like to congratulate our Year 10 girls netball team who recently won both the Kirkleesd Netball Tournament and the Kirklees Netball League this year.
